Up until late 2004 bankruptcy was to be used for consumers who were fighting through severe money troubles. Sadly it was abused by way too many consumers who wanted to evade paying their debts. They didn’t want to be accountable for their actions. Now that bankruptcy is not so favorable for debtors to consider debt settlement has become the big thing and is saving people money.
